Greenwich, London
PocketsKidbrooke North (Kidbrooke Playing Fields · Hervey Road Playing Field · Eltham Common · Charlton Park RFC)Hornfair Park (Eltham Common · Old Dover Road)
Kidbrooke Park sits in the south of the Royal Borough of Greenwich, south of Shooter's Hill Road and east of Blackheath. The ward is largely the product of mid-20th-century planning: Kidbrooke Park Estate was laid out from around 1935, and the infamous Ferrier Estate — a 1,900-home Greater London Council scheme built between 1968 and 1972 on former RAF Kidbrooke — has since been demolished and replaced by Kidbrooke Village, a £1 billion Berkeley-led regeneration. The entire ward sits inside a conservation area, and there are three listed buildings including the Grade II Corelli College (the former Kidbrooke Comprehensive School for Girls) and the Grade II Herbert Pavilion. Total green space reaches 30.7 hectares, safety and air-quality scores are reasonable, and there are 14 Ofsted-outstanding schools within reach. Transport is moderate with Kidbrooke station giving quick trains to London Bridge. Weaknesses: public-transport access is limited to the rail corridor, the food offer of around 17 venues is thin, and culture scores are low. This is a quiet residential ward mid-regeneration.

The Ferrier Estate was built by the Greater London Council between 1968 and 1972 on the site of former RAF Kidbrooke; demolition began in 2009 and the site is being rebuilt by Berkeley as Kidbrooke Village in a partnership with the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
