Whetstone runs along the Great North Road at the top of the Northern line, a suburban high street ward with thirteen listed buildings strung along the former coaching route. The Grade II Limes and the Grade II Church of St John sit among a small set of survivors from Whetstone's eighteenth and nineteenth-century village core. The ward is domestic and low-rise — Edwardian semis, interwar cottages, and a few postwar infill blocks — with Whetstone Stray providing the main green at around ten hectares. Safety scores sit comfortably above the inner-London average, and Totteridge & Whetstone station puts Bank and London Bridge within forty minutes.
