West Putney sits on the rising ground between Putney High Street and Roehampton in Wandsworth, a quiet suburban ward of interwar and postwar housing set against the green edge of Putney Heath and Richmond Park. Around half the ward sits inside a conservation area. The three listed buildings are Grade II: Elliott School, Putney Park House and the Ice House adjoining 137–146 Innes Gardens. Green space is modest within the ward itself at around four hectares, but Putney Heath and Richmond Park sit just beyond the western boundary.
