Crofton Park sits in the west of the London Borough of Lewisham between Brockley and Honor Oak, a predominantly residential suburb of Victorian and Edwardian terraces. The ward's most distinctive building is the Rivoli Ballroom on Brockley Road, a 1913 picture palace converted to a dance hall in 1959 with a Canadian sprung maple floor — the only intact 1950s ballroom remaining in London, Grade II listed since 2007. There are six listed buildings in total including the Grade II Rivoli Ballroom, the Grade II Church of St Hilda and the Grade II Tom's Cottage. The entire ward sits inside a conservation area, and green space reaches 19.4 hectares with Blythe Hill Fields at 7.2 hectares the largest patch. Transport is reasonable: Crofton Park and Honor Oak Park stations give direct services to Blackfriars and Victoria, and 12 Ofsted-outstanding schools sit within reach.
