Haggerston sits in the south-west corner of Hackney, pressed against the Regent's Canal, Kingsland Road and Shoreditch. The thirty-three listed buildings include the Grade II Haggerston Baths, an Edwardian Baroque bathhouse of 1904 by A. W. S. Cross, along with the Grade II 1–4 Croston Street. Around thirty-five per cent of the ward sits inside a conservation area, clustered along the canal and the Albion Square streets. Transport is reasonable, with Haggerston on the Overground and frequent buses into the City and Shoreditch, and forty Ofsted outstanding rated schools fall within a short journey — an unusually dense education footprint. Haggerston Park runs to around 8.5 hectares at the southern edge, the largest green in the ward, and the food offer along Kingsland Road reflects the Vietnamese restaurants that have anchored the strip for three decades.
