Addiscombe West sits just east of East Croydon station, a dense Victorian suburb threaded by the tram lines to Arena and Elmers End. The streets are late-19th-century terraces built out around the former East India Company college site. Seven listed buildings anchor the ward, led by the Grade II* Church of St Mary Magdalene and the Grade II Havelock Hall. Public transport is good, with East Croydon mainline services, Tramlink stops and the Cherry Orchard Road bus corridor.
