Crystal Palace and Anerley sits on the ridge above south-east London, a hilltop ward shared by four boroughs but held on the Bromley side by the park itself and the terraces running down towards Anerley station. The 57.5-hectare Crystal Palace Park dominates, with over 40% of the ward overlapping a conservation area and 16 listed buildings including the Grade I Prehistoric Animal Sculptures — the dinosaurs unveiled in 1854 — and two Grade II* features of the lost palace. Transport is decent with Overground and National Rail at Crystal Palace and Anerley, and the area's nonfood scene is strong, with the Triangle's independent shops, bars and cafes.
