Walpole sits south of Ealing Broadway, centred on Walpole Park and the Grade I Pitzhanger Manor, Sir John Soane's country house built between 1800 and 1804 and restored to his original designs in 2019. There are twenty-one listed buildings in the ward, including the Grade I entrance archway and gates at Pitzhanger and the Grade II* bridge at the park's northern end. Walpole Park, Grade II registered, contains an ornamental bridge remodelled to Soane's design and was opened to the public in 1901. Public transport is good via Ealing Broadway, with Elizabeth line, Great Western and District services, and the food-and-drink scene along the Broadway and St Mary's Road is one of the densest in outer west London. Twenty-eight outstanding schools lie within reach.
